I had wanted to go to CVS on Thanksgiving day to get some of their good deals…however when we ended staying up until almost 1:00 on Wednesday evening, I decided to just enjoy my bed a little bit longer in the morning. So Tim and I went out last night. They were out of a couple of things I wanted, but I was still able to get a few things. I’m happy with the way it turned out.

2 Colgate toothpaste $3.89 each
3 Gatorades $1.49

Approximate Total Before Sales and Coupons: $18.68
Total After Sales and Coupons: $3.71 (which we paid with a gift card)

I still have $6.29 on my gift card and I received $14.44 in ECBs.

Drew Friday, Nov 28 2008

Drew just passed his nine month birthday. He has learned how to do so much in the past few months! He has definitely mastered the art of crawling. He can move from one place to the other quite fast and I’ve lost track of him a couple of times (thankfully it’s easy to find him in our small apartment! ). He pulls himself up on just about everything…and thankfully he has learned how to sit back down. (For awhile there he would get stuck in the up position and need help to sit down so he could crawl. ) Just the other day he figured out that there are fun things in my kitchen cupboards to play with and take out. He is such a fun little guy!

Wedding Gift Wednesday, Nov 26 2008

I love weddings and bridal showers!   I was recently at one and this is the gift we were able to give the couple. It actually didn’t cost that much to make, since I used things I had bought on sale over the past months. And I was glad that I was able to share some of our excess.

And, of course, the gift wouldn’t be complete without a card…and I think cards are more personal when everyone puts their own signature in instead of one person signing everyone’s name. So here are all of our signatures…

Things I’m Grateful For Tuesday, Nov 25 2008

1. Tim He’s my best friend!
2. Drew – He is so precious and a lot of fun to spend time with!
3. That Tim is full time now with his job.
4. That I haven’t been as sick this pregnancy as I was with Drew.
5. That Melinda is coming home in less than a month!
6. That Drew finally learned how to crawl so that he can move himself around.
7. That Thanksgiving (one of my favorite holidays!) is almost here!
8. That I’m going to be 21 on my next birthday…
9. I’m really thankful that I’m able to enjoy planning meals again…even though I haven’t been too sick, meal planning was a little difficult.
10. That I have lots of juice in my refrigerator!

I’ve been following the Lawrenson’s family story for almost a year now and praying for them as the Lord has taken them through some trying medical experiences. But the Lord has also used them in mighty ways and they just received what looks like some great news!

I think these I Spy bottles are so much fun! It looks like they would be fun to make and I’m sure it would be a fun activity! I Spy activities can be a great way to spend time with younger ones.
