I’ve enjoyed writing on this blog for the past few months. For a while I’ve wanted to start a blog with my sisters and we finally got around to doing just that.
So mvlegacy is “moving” to Wholesome Womanhood. You can find me there.

Sippy Cups Wednesday, Jul 8 2009
Works for Me Wednesday 6:00 am
Before Carter was born, I knew that I had to help Drew learn how to do more things on his own. One of the things he needed to learn was how to drink by himself. The only problem was that he could not get the hang of a sippy cup. We would put the cup in his mouth and he would chew on it…he just did not get the whole sucking thing.
But with summer and hotter weather approaching, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to keep on top of his need for plenty of liquid. Drinking out of our cups is a slow and messy process! But he just could not get the hang of the sippy cup. I was beginning to think it was hopeless.
Then my mom found these great sippy cups at Wal-Mart. The nipple is flexible instead of hard, similar to Drew’s bottles so he caught on very quickly. He now drinks water, juice and smoothies from this little cup. It’s quicker and not messy. And I don’t have to “worry” about him getting enough to drink in this hot weather…he can get a drink whenever he gets thirsty.
That’s what works for me.
