Eric and I used the sand ceremony in place of unity candles at our wedding. I had also seen the ceremony at a wedding a couple of months before ours and loved the idea. We used pink and brown sand since they were my wedding colors.

Yes, we are blessed to have:

1) two stories in our home
2) an attached garage
3) crawlspace underneath the garage in which to store boxes and extras
4) Laundry in our townhouse

Thank you, Jamie, for yet more reminders of how we are thriving. :)

I like your attitude Carrie. For me, the hardest thing about apartment living with the kids was how far away my car was in the carport and the fact that we were also upstairs. Made getting kids and groceries to and from the car challenging. I got good exercise though!

Even now we use a pack n play instead of a crib to save space.

One thing I know for sure is that it is much harder to keep a small space clean than a larger one.

We are a family of 7 in a 2 bedroom. We have the boys in one room, the girls in another room (that works out to 3 in one, 2 in the other), and then me and my husband sleep downstairs in a fold out bed in the living room which we make and unmake every night.

I was really hoping to move this year but once we discussed how much more important it will be to save our money in these next couple years rather than spend it unnecessarily, we have opted to stay put until I finish nursing school. I am very thankful that we have a plan that I know will be truly beneficial rather than wasteful. And the Lord is faithful to give us contentment because I'm really loving our new arrangement. It felt so crowded before but now that we have given up our bedroom and changed things around, the house feels downright roomy. :)
